Register

Before you can bid you will need to register and receive a bidder number. With a registered account you can browse our current, past and upcoming listings. With a registered credit card you can bid on anything you like and even create a watchlist of your favorite items.

Bid

With accessibility and flexibility you can bid with confidence. Keep an eye on the auction's progress and the bidding activity of other participants. All seller contact information is listed for your convenience and to ensure you know what you are getting. Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Pay

Once notified of your winning bid you can pay your invoice directly from your account. Once payment is received you will be emailed a paid invoice. Once you receive the invoice you can schedule a time to pick up your item(s) from the seller. Please present your paid invoice when picking up items.

FAQs - Registration

What information is needed to create an account? Only basic information is needed to create an account. (name, address, phone and email)

Why do I need an email address? Our notifications for Winning, Outbid and invoices are all sent via email.

Why do I need a credit card in order to bid? In lieu of a bidding deposit, we require a credit card. Credit cards are authorized at the time of registration, but not charged. Great Plains Auction will accept payments up to $5,000 on credit cards with a 3% convenience fee. Great Plains Auction reserves the right to charge the card along with a late payment fee if payment plans are not made within a timely manner following the end of an auction.

Is my credit card information secure? Yes, all credit card information is processed by Authorize.net.

Is there a fee to register or bid? No, Great Plains Auction does not charge for registration to bid on any auction. We charge a buyer’s premium on all purchases (8% of the winning bid. EX: Winning bid is $100. $8 will be added for buyer’s premium making the total $108)

How do I know if I won an item? All winning bidders are notified by email with an invoice after auction has closed. All invoices will also be available by accessing your account.

Is there a bidding limit? Bids over the amount of $10,000 are subject to approval by Great Plains Auction. Verification my include, but not limited to, a bank letter of guaranty, credit references or credit card pre-authorization. Great Plains Auction may take any or all measures at any point during the auction process. If the bidder refuses or fails to timely cooperate with efforts to verify bidders qualification Great Plains Auction reserves the right to strike said bid from auction. You authorize all credit references, bank and credit reporting agencies to provide complete information about your credit to Great Plains Auction by registering to bid. How do I remove sales tax? Sales tax is applied to all items unless proof of exemption is provided to Great Plains Auction in a timely manner.

How can I pay my invoice? Forms of payment are as follows:

  • Wire Transfers in any amount
  • Cashiers Checks in any amount
  • Credit cards are accepted up to $5,000 +3% Convenience fee (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover)
  • Checks will be accepted only with a bank guaranty letter or with prior approval from Great Plains Auction
  • Checks may be mailed to Great Plains Auction, LLC

When are items released to be picked up? Once payment is received all bidders and sellers will be notified and receive a “Paid” invoice. Once the bidder has their invoice, arrangements can be made for removal of items. Please remember to pick up items within the allotted timeline to avoid any fees and/or forfeiture of your tiem(s)
